Autodesk's Development Enablement organization seeks a hands-on, experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team of intelligent and driven developers responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting Autodesk's next-generation continuous integration and continuous delivery platform.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and mentor the software development team

Establish software development standards and practices

Engage in technical and architectural discussions and decision-making

Attract, hire, and continuously grow top software development talent

Build and foster a high-performance culture

Perform code reviews and technology evaluations

Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of technical projects

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and build toward a cohesive technical strategy

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of people management experience

Hands-on experience with public cloud technologies (AWS)

Deep understanding of designing and maintaining large-scale, distributed platforms

Experience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholders

Recent hands-on experience within one or more languages – Go/Java/Python

Understanding & curiosity about DevOps best practices

Good self-management skills and ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks coming in simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building apps on AWS using services such as Step functions, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, CloudWatch, and Lambda

Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs

Good understanding of networking and security concepts

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, NewRelic, ELK)

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $136,000 and $187,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
