Job Duties: Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.18989)

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Software-related occupation. Position requires:

1.                   Version control systems like Git, SVN or mercurial;

2.                   Implementing and maintaining continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab;

3.                   Design and development using test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG or pytest;

4.                   Architectural design, secure programming practices, technical documentation and code reviews in Java or Python;

5.                   Building production software with either Python or Java and experience working with the Network File System Protocol (NFS);

6.                   Maintaining, installing, and servicing engineered systems like the ZFSSA;

7.                   Maintaining rack hardware like PDUs, networking, switches and configuring devices in labs/data centers;

8.                   Proficiency in configuring, managing and troubleshooting Solaris;

9.                   System-level enhancements to Solaris, specifically tailored to optimize it for database applications.
