In order to be considered the following is required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 8 years of experience as a software developer 3 years of experience as a Team Lead or Managerial position Languages: JavaScript, Typescript, Python, React Systems: AWS (DynamoDB, Cognito, CloudFront, CloudFormations, Lambda, Reddis), Quickbase, Zapier, Wuroo, ZenDesk, Teams Experience in developing, testing, deploying, supporting, and maintaining custom-written applications and software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desire to learn and stay up to date with new technologies and development practices Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong organizational and strategic skills Proven track record of managing projects of varying sizes within budgets and timelines Experience in directing teams responsible for critical technical systems and applications Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities Capability to recruit, train, supervise and evaluate staff effectively Responsibilities:
Set objectives, policies and strategies for the department Select and implement suitable technology to streamline operations and optimise strategic benefits Design and customise technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience Hire, develop, manage and evaluate resources Commit resources to support projects and department operations Develop, manage and report on projects Direct and organise the Software team and software related projects Monitor technological advancements to gain a competitive advantage Analyse the costs, value and risks of IT to advise management and suggest actions Resolve service issues / complaints from stakeholders Build and manage relationships / partnerships with other departments and external providers Bridge the gap between business and the software team through facilitation of project scopes, bringing them to completion Perform other duties as assigned by department needs If you would like to email your CV directly – please send it to [email protected]
