This role is best suited for the developer who has a strong understanding of the core components of an object-oriented programming language and wants to leverage that knowledge to build a solid framework and embedded solutions. DescriptionDescriptionAs an engineer on our team, your work will contribute to building and maintaining evolving systems and frameworks for Apple Maps. This work will continue to enhance and iterate on the ways our users experience Apple Maps features and functionality. Maps frameworks are supported on multiple platforms (iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS), so understanding and developing shared codebases between different operating systems is a plus. As a member of our team, your daily activities may include: * Partnering with other Apple teams to iterate, innovate, and investigate new ways of exposing navigation-related data to the platform. * Using your knowledge of systems and frameworks to ensure our system is scalable and useable for many different platforms * Working with team members to scope and implement system-level standard methodologies such as memory management, object-oriented design, and production level code. * Demonstrating your current programming knowledge to create and write clean, concise, and accurate code. Our team primarily uses Objective-C. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
