Title:
Software Developer/EngineerKBR is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer/Developer to support the HawkeyeFlight program. The ideal candidate will also be expected to design and develop high-quality software applications. You must possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Candidates will be expected to contribute to deliverables. You may be expected to communicate with stakeholders, vendors, and customers. This position requires the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write, code, and debug software applications for clients. Perform validation, testing, and code reviews for applications. Cross-collaborate with different functional area teams and vendors to fix technical issues. Support integration efforts and handoff of applications to the test team. Work as a member of large team including other developers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Project Manager interacting with related teams on new product development. Create responsive user interface from provided UX design concepts. Integrate with Commercial off-the-shelf software products and configuration of third party components. Able to deal comfortably with ambiguity in a change-driven development project. Contribute to and improve documentation, configuration standards, and policies and procedures. Perform day-to-day sustainment duties as requested.Respond to and resolve software discrepancies against documented requirements. Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements. Generate program design language and code based on department standards. Generate/update project documents. Analyzes and evaluates systems and devises computer specifications and systems for scientific/engineering applications to process data. Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs operating programs and proceduresBASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Security Clearance Requirement & Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance with T5 background investigation.
Education: BS degree from an accredited US college in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Experience: 2 years of experience.
Technical Skills:
Peer-to-peer (P2P) socket communication.UI development experience utilizing modern UI methodologies.Debugging and troubleshootingFront End Technologies with: CSS, React, Vue, Blazor or AngularBack End Technologies with: C#, JavaDatabase and Infrastructure with: Docker containers, REST and API designOther Technologies with: Workflow Engine, Mobile developmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in aviation applications (manned or unmanned)PowerShell and Python scripting and automationMicrosoft Azure DevOpsAgile/Scrum development experience.NET console application developmentScheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
This position offers a flexible remote working environment.
Compensation: $80,000-120,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
