VIPRE Security, a brand of Ziff Davis, develops cybersecurity products focused on endpoint protection and email security together with advanced threat intelligence solutions. 

Responsibilities:

Design and implement applications, services and data pipelines in C and/or GolangDebug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stackWork collaboratively to develop, implement and deliver VIPRE cloud core backend systems in an agile environment.Continually improve availability, scalability, performance and reliability of our servicesHelp maintain code quality, organization, automation and continuous deliveryWork with a distributed team of engineersEducation and/or Certification RequirementsBA/BS in CS or related field, or equivalent experience 

Experience

3+ years of development experience, building, running, and debugging applicationsProficient in C and/or Golang, with extensive experience in developing robust and efficient backend systemsDesign, build, and maintain APIs (REST, gRPC, etc), user-facing applications, services, and systemsStrong knowledge of algorithms, data structures and performance optimization strategiesExperience and skills in developing, navigating and utilizing Unix/Linux environmentsHands on experience of working in platform teams building reusable infrastructure and service components running at high transactional volumesStrong Experience with scalable and distributed datastores (MySQL, ElasticSearch)Experience with AWS or other cloud providers for both infrastructure and application development

Desired Skills

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges effectively, even under high-pressure conditions.Solid knowledge of security principles, including cryptography and encryption methodologies.Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, and overall network architecture.Experience developing and deploying distributed services using containers and orchestrators (kubernetes, ECS, EKS, nomad)Familiarity with microservice architecture, cloud native and twelve-factor principles.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK or Terraform#Vipre
