Description We are in search of a Software Developer for a short term contract employment opportunity. The role is based in Houston, Texas, and operates within the IT industry. The Software Developer will be tasked with creating and maintaining software solutions, particularly within the Microsoft SharePoint environment. Responsibilities: • Design and build custom web parts, extensions, and components using SPFx, a client-side development model for SharePoint. • Harness modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks like React and TypeScript to develop scalable, maintainable solutions. • Integrate these solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services for seamless functionality. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Create and implement SharePoint solutions that address business needs, including site layouts, workflows, and custom functionalities. • Write, test, and debug code for SharePoint solutions, ensuring quality and performance standards are met. • Keep SharePoint solutions updated and address any issues or implement enhancements as required. • Develop solutions that can be integrated with other business applications and systems. • Program against the Microsoft Graph and other APIs to access and manipulate SharePoint data. • Write clear and comprehensive documentation for solutions developed. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues. • Manage SharePoint site collections and subsites, implementing and configuring SharePoint features and functionalities. • Customize SharePoint workflows to automate business processes. • Maintain and update SharePoint security policies and manage data backups to ensure data integrity. Requirements • Proficient in Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking. • Solid background in Backend Development, with the ability to design and implement robust software solutions. • Demonstrated experience in Bug Tracking to ensure software reliability and quality. • Strong programming skills in C++, with the ability to write efficient and maintainable code. • Extensive experience with GitHub for version control and collaborative development. • Knowledge of AB Testing to compare different versions of software and improve its performance. • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies to facilitate efficient software development. • Proficient in using Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications. • Proven ability in API Development, with a focus on designing user-friendly interfaces. • Experience with ASP.NET for building robust web applications. • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint for content management and collaboration within the organization.
