POSITION SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Software Design Engineer for an Onsite based position in Redmond, WA.
The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems.
Responsibilities Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projectsGather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and dataAnalyze and review enhancement requests and specificationsImplement system software and customize to client requirementsPrepare the detailed software specifications and test plansCode new programs to client’s specifications and create test data for testingModify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programsCreate migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementationProvide quality assurance reviewsPerform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.Test automation development using C++, C#, Python, and LabVIEWDevelop and maintain a set of test suite for gaming hardware components and systemsCreate and maintain set of unit tests and BVT validation scriptsDevelop/Monitor telemetry to ensure PowerBI reporting is captured and available for analytics teamTools and Library development for test suitesTechnical documentation of all projects
Qualifications Must have minimum 5+ years’ experience with LabVIEW.Must have 5+ years of experience in Industrial Automation or equivalentShould have good experience with Scripting using (PowerShell, Python, Bash).Must have minimum 3+ years’ experience with both C# and C++.Must have minimum 4+ years’ experience with motors, motor controllers, and serial protocols (I2C, TCP)Should have A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.Should have large systems software design and development experience.Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.

A competitive pay range of $65/hr - $68/hr (depending on experience).Position Location: Onsite (Redmond WA)15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).8 paid holidays per year + 1 floating holiday. 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
