Responsibilities Provide weekly individual, family or group, psychotherapy services to children and their families.Attend interdisciplinary staffing to discuss and integrate the evaluation information and to develop a comprehensive treatment plan responding to the psychological and social needs of the client/family.Collaborate with the referring agency, to assist them in utilizing the evaluation/treatments services in the development of the service plans for the child and the family, when indicated.Collaborate with the school system to assure that the children are receiving appropriate educational services if indicated.Participate in peer consultation groups and/or individual supervision for review of clinical work.Attend in-service clinical training programs, treatment planning meeting, and necessary administrative meetings.Maintain client activity at the projected level set by the administrative staff.Maintain the medical record for each client seen which includes a treatment plan and diagnostic interview at the initiation of therapy, weekly progress notes, periodic reviews, and termination summary. Qualifications Must be licensed by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Board of Social Work Examiners as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LMSW).Must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree from an accredited School of Social Work required.EXPERIENCE:
Experience providing services to children with developmental and emotional disturbance preferred. Benefits
