**Salary/Pay** **Range** : $45,000 - $45,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

**Summary**
The Social Work Student Services Professional is responsible for graduate student admissions and graduation processes, program advising, student communication, professional development, and coordination of selected student-focused events, with an understanding of and ability to perform within trauma-informed systems to enhance student support. Completes necessary paperwork and coordination for compliance with federal notification laws and Council on Social Work Education accreditation processes. Plans, improves, and implements processes and identifies innovative programming that enhances the graduate student experience. Serves as a program liaison to the University Marketing and Communications office and collaborates with internal and campus teams and committees relevant to the position and as assigned by the Social Work Chair.
**Essential Functions**
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Responds to initial inquiries from persons interested in learning more about both Social Work programs (undergraduate and graduate).
+ Participate in recruiting events for both Social Work programs (undergraduate and graduate).
+ Guides prospective graduate social work students through the application process and assists admitted graduate social work students with registration, student forms, and/or other student services issues.
+ Coordinates with the Admissions office and program director to process graduate social work applications.
+ Regularly communicate with prospective, admitted, and current social work graduate students.
+ Completes necessary paperwork and coordination for compliance with federal notification laws and Council on Social Work Education accreditation processes.
+ Manages intercampus enrollment and transfer credit processes for social work graduate students.
+ Works collaboratively with the social work program directors and practicum directors to meet programmatic needs.
+ Establishes, maintains, and monitors graduate social work student records from application through graduation; implements actions as appropriate (e.g., probationary status letters).
+ Supports student experience by navigating and troubleshooting enrollment and admissions issues.
+ Collaborates with faculty and staff to inform policy, procedure, and process regarding graduate social work student needs and outcomes.
+ Works with the Social Work Chair, faculty, and staff, as well as other related campus personnel as appropriate, to achieve unit goals related to student services.
+ Coordinates student communications and acts as a program liaison with University Marketing and Communications.
+ Purchases and maintains an inventory of promotional items and materials.
+ Provides empathetic support and actively listens to students, helping them feel heard and encouraged in addressing their academic needs.
+ Coordinate student engagements such as orientation and professional development.
+ Participates in recruiting events.
+ Other duties assigned by department chair.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required
+ Full-time experience working in an academic services setting relevant to this position's responsibilities
o Substitution: Graduate-level education in social work, student affairs, or a related field may be substituted for work experience on a year-for-year basis
+ The ideal cnadidate will have a Master of Social Work degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
+ It is preferred applicants have experience with social work and social service systems
