The Social Work Counselor works with foster care children referred by the Department of Social Services to develop independent living skills This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate! Responsibilities + Develop and facilitate independent living skills workshops + Conduct monthly home visits to youth in their foster homes. + Complete a Step Up Independent Living assessment and treatment plan in partnership with client, foster family and caseworker. + Coordinate service efforts with DSS caseworkers. + Complete and maintain client case records in a timely manner Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in social work, education or related field required. + One-year full-time experience working with adolescents. + Valid and clean driver's license + Basic computer knowledge of MS Office. Additional Information Schedule: + Full-time, 35 hours per week. + Schedule: Monday 12-8 pm, , Tuesday through Friday 9am-5pm. + Location: Hempstead + Salary: 42,000 Compensation Information + FCA's framework, culture, and values reflect the competitive compensation range.
