Job Description

The role

The Social Media Strategist will develop our social media strategy across multiple platforms for an entertainment client. You'll help improve brand and title awareness, engagement, and growth by creating campaigns, creating dynamic content, and analyzing performance metrics. You will understand social trends, creative storytelling, the entertainment landscape and data-driven strategy, alongside experience staying ahead of the curve in the evolving world of social media. Reporting to our Content Director, you are a necessary part in implementing client strategy of always-on or campaign tasks while upholding the highest professional standards to and in full.

Please note, this is a fixed term contract through to March 2025 with the possibility to extend. The salary range for this position is $64,000-75,000 USD annually. This is a hybrid role based out of our Los Angeles, CA office. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the brand's and the title's marketing goals, targeting important audiences and growing engagement.Provide insights and research to empower the content team to curate, and manage high-quality, engaging, and creative content (posts, images, videos, etc.) across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.).Identify what audience engagement works well, and provide insights to the community management and client teams.Identify latest trends, influencers, and new platforms to expand the brand's presence and reach.Understand and advise on the competitive landscape within entertainment in general and titles.Understand the nuances of a title and awards campaigns and be able to inform as to a consumer journey.Collaborate with the client, brand, content, creative, and, on occasion, paid media teams to develop integrated campaigns and ensure cohesive messaging.Analyze the performance of social media campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, and other social listening platforms.Provide recommendations based on data to improve content and improve social media Goals (followers, engagement, conversions, etc.).Stay up-to-date with formats, platform updates, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure maximum impact and compliance with the latest guidelines.

Qualifications3+ years of experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role, with experience developing successful social campaigns.Experience in entertainment.Experience with major social media platforms and their best practices, including Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, Pinterest, and latest platforms.Content creation skills, including writing, visual storytelling, and video editing.Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Buffer).The ability to interpret data and translate it into applicable insights.Creativity and experience staying ahead of social media trends.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
