Position: Social Services Coordinator                        

Department: Boyertown Corps                   

Availability of Position: Immediately

Schedule: Part Time +, Monday to Friday                   

Reporting Relationship: Corps Commanding Officers

Salary Grade: 74, Non-exempt

Responsibilities

Description of Position:          

The Social Service Coordinator/ Office Manager organizes, coordinates, implements, and directs all aspects of the Boyertown Corps social service community outreach programs, including, but not limited to, comprehensive emergency social services, Back to School and Christmas social service outreach, Service Point statistical data, as well as assisting with the daily operation of the office.

Qualifications

Requirements:                        

Bachelor's degree in related field or a minimum of five years experience in the social services field.Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of efficient administration.Ability to work with professional and support staff, and volunteer personnel.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with local area social service agencies and public.Ability to organize data and communicate effectively orally and in writing.Valid PA driver's licenseChild Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks:   PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
