Nexus Family Healing is looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our fantastic Marketing and Communications Team!

Our Social Media Specialist serves as Nexus Family Healing’s social media expert and is responsible for strategizing Nexus’ social media calendar, content creation and campaigns, to elevate and drive relevant conversations and engagement for the organization. This individual will manage social media platforms, accounts, ad campaigns and performance while actively representing the organization, consistent with Nexus Family Healing’s, mission, values, and brand.

Schedule/Location/Pay:

Full-Time Hybrid Opportunity Must be located in Minnesota Salary Range:  $62,000-$70,000 annually

Primary responsibilities:

 Social Media Creation

Oversees multiple, dynamic Nexus Family Healing social media accounts; ensures social media accounts are operational, current and information shared is current, accurate and consistent with the brand. Develops, strategizes, and maintains a social media calendar that proactively considers future and current events at Nexus Home Office (NHO) and among agencies. Develops and drafts creative content and assists with online distribution. Seeks opportunities to share and build on Nexus Family Healing’s success as an innovative and leading trauma informed non-profit; drives conversations that highlight Nexus events and individual youth success stories. Spearheads several aspects of the organization’s social media strategy and content; creates and manages content calendar and remains apprised of unique and evolving social media applications and trends that support the creative execution of Nexus’ content. Strategizes and develops timely, shareable graphics (infographics, photos, illustrations, animations, and videos) based on insights from the Nexus community and agencies. Strategizes social media campaigns across multiple platforms; activates campaigns within budget parameters and tracks campaign progress and identifies the strongest performing attributes for future ads and campaigns. Maintains a strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms and leverages individual platform knowledge in developing, posting, monitoring, and revising posts. Remains apprised of best practices, trends, and technologies for each social media platform, with a focus on making content accessible and engaging.

 Agency Support & Consulting

Partners with leadership and Marketing to grow social media following; creatively and strategically drives engagement and improves overall social media engagement and performance across all channels. Encourages Nexus and agency employees to actively participate in Nexus social media conversations; educates employees on how to join and promote relevant conversations and content within their social circle. Assists agency Marketing and Communications team members with content creation and channel management as needed; serves as a resource and point of contact to answer agency questions. Enhances knowledge and understanding within the organization, communities and agencies relating to pertinent social conversations; escalates social media posts, comments or topics to Marketing and Communications Manager as needed. Discerns relevant topics to be elevated for review, prior to sharing; maintains cultural awareness surrounding crucial or sensitive social conversations and what questions to pose relating to various topics.

 Support & Reporting

Possesses deep knowledge and understanding of the available social media platform insights, data, and reporting; analyzes and interpolates data and identifies recommendations that support the long-term improvement of social media KPIs. Delivers information, presentations, and reports, to leadership that speak to social media performance; communicates details of high performing posts and areas of opportunity, while generating and providing ideas and solutions that continually improve Nexus’ social media influence. Works with Marketing and Communications Manager to identify and track relevant key performance indicators that support the organization’s exposure and growth; develops reporting measures that produce realistic data.

Cross functional partnership

Provides occasional creative support to Marketing and Communications team members; demonstrates initiative to learn new skills that add value; demonstrates an eager and willing attitude to assist the team. Enlists creative input, thoughts, and feedback from the team with the intent of implementing content that aligns with brand look and feel  bring  new ideas to the team and thrives in a highly collaborative environment. Participates in the ideation and brainstorming of creative and promotional content; collaborates with public relations and advertising staff to coordinate marketing efforts aligned with the department’s goals.

Other Duties as Assigned

Participates in company and Marketing and Communications departmental meetings. Ensures confidentiality regarding all organizational business, residents’ medical backgrounds, and treatment issues per HIPAA guidelines. Manages customer service needs and establishes customer service guidelines and policies. Supports organizational and team initiatives and assists with other projects as assigned.

 Required Education and Licensure:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Media Marketing, or a related field. A minimum of 3 year of professional experience managing an organization's social media strategy. Experience managing multiple social media accounts/projects at one time.  Experience writing and creating captions and articles for various audiences and groups.  Experience in social media publishing and reporting tools. Experience in Canva or other design software.  Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Family Healing driving requirements.

 Nice To Have:

5 years of professional marketing and/or social media marketing experience. Experience in Google Analytics, SEO websites, and/or email marketing Experience in videography or photography
