With over 40 nationalities and a strong presence in Brussels, we bring bold ideas, smart strategies, and powerful storytelling to some of the most important issues facing Europe today.

We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our growing digital team supporting DG COMM A1 of the European Commission, helping implement the institution's social media strategy at the highest level. You will be part of a team that creates impactful content, sparks meaningful online conversations, and ensures EU priorities are communicated clearly and effectively.

Your Role in Our Mission:

As a Social Media Specialist, you will contribute to shaping public discourse around EU topics like the Green Deal, Digital Transformation, and Economic Recovery. You’ll combine creative content creation with strategic thinking to support the Commission’s central accounts (primarily on Twitter/X and Facebook) and deliver campaigns that resonate with citizens across Europe.

Craft content for all major social media platforms in line with campaign objectives and the Commission’s tone of voice.

Advise on and manage paid social media campaigns, including media buying and targeting strategies.

Research and produce engaging visuals and multimedia assets in collaboration with creatives and designers.

Translate complex EU policy into concise, engaging, and accessible messages.

Support in community management, drafting replies to questions and comments from citizens and stakeholders.

Monitor performance, provide evaluation reports, and apply insights to improve future campaigns.

Work hand-in-hand with DG COMM A1, liaising with corporate communication contacts and aligning with broader institutional messaging.

What You Bring

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in social media, digital communications, or campaign strategy.

Excellent copywriting and editorial skills in English, with the ability to adapt tone across formats and platforms.

Strong experience in community management and paid media strategy.

A solid understanding of EU policies and institutional frameworks.

Exceptional organisational and project management skills.

Creativity, curiosity, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

A collaborative, problem-solving mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Why ICF Next Europe?

A mission-driven agency working at the heart of the European project.

A vibrant, multicultural team of experts in digital, design, strategy, and storytelling.

Opportunities to work on high-profile campaigns that reach millions.

Flexible work environment
