Social Media Coordinator
Manulife Wealth & Asset Management is a key area of growth for Manulife Financial Corporation (MFC). It consists of three direct and intermediated customer segments: Retail, Retirement, and Institutional across the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
The Social Media Coordinator will play a crucial role in assisting the execution of social media strategies and programs that enhance the WAM brand in key global markets. The successful candidate will focus on supporting the development and distribution of engaging content across our branded social channels, both paid and organic. This role is integral in helping to maintain and grow our social media presence, ensuring consistent brand messaging and supporting the social media employee advocacy program. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Social Media Manager and other team members to ensure alignment with broader marketing objectives and compliance standards.

Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content to support WAM's brand objectives across various platformsMonitor and engage with audiences on social media channels, ensuring timely responses and fostering community engagementSupport the execution of social media campaigns, including tracking performance metrics and gathering insights for reporting purposesAssist in maintaining social media content calendars and ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategiesCollaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and compliant with regulationsSupport the social media employee advocacy program by helping to coordinate content distribution and engagement initiatives among employeesConduct social listening and basic research to identify trends and opportunities for content developmentAssist in the preparation of regular reports on social media performance and engagement metricsLeverage AI tools to enhance content creation, scheduling, and engagement strategiesCandidate profile
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field1-2 years of experience in social media marketing or digital marketing/communications, preferably within the financial services industryFamiliarity with key social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and RedditBasic understanding of direct-to-consumer (D2C) and business-to-business (B2B) social media marketing strategiesProficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, basic graphic design tools and AI platformsStrong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to take initiativeDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining brand voice and standardsAbout Manulife and John Hancock

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
