Job Purpose

To oversee and action on the creation and compilation of management and strategic reports that are aligned to strategic intent, through qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, and recommending insights that enable sound business decisions through others, as per Nedbank business strategy.

Job Responsibilities

Support the digital strategy through understanding the competitive landscape both locally and abroad as well as considering changing client needs, emerging technology trends and the digital growth aspirations of the organisation.  
Stay abreast of new digital developments and best practice to ensure an agile response to digital market shifts and developments.
Translate the digital strategy into actionable plans, initiatives, and projects to ensure effective delivery of business outcomes.
Ensure execution of strategic initiatives through monitoring and benchmarking of outcomes
Guide and implement digital tools, technologies, and processes to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experiences.
Use data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to inform personalised client experience, product offers and drive behaviour-based usage campaign.
Guide transparent and insightful reporting to stakeholders by highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. 
Influence and guide the delivery of market leading digital solutions and digital channel stability to clients in partnership with Group Technology (GT).
Grow market share by establishing and executing on sound digital, e-commerce sales plans in conjunction with marketing stakeholders. 
Monitor performance of Channel and teams by developing and implementing capabilities and enablers to achieve sales growth and KPI's as per set targets. 
Report on key strategic outcomes/results to various stakeholders (staff; regulators; shareholders; clients and communities) through reports and presentations.
Report on progress towards strategic business objectives, facilitating adjustments of support across business units  to maximise the success of the strategic objectives, (Revenue, costs, operational excellence, and competitiveness) 
Analyse and report to key business committees on business objectives and targets through effective cross sell initiatives at Consumer Banking Channels.
Develop and manage strategic enablement initiatives and relationships, including growth opportunities, action planning, day-to- day relationships and business growth forecasting for key strategic levers.
Provide ongoing expert decision support for all parts of the value chain that meaningfully contributes to the Digital Strategic KPI’s
Seek opportunities to improve business processes; models and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank. Facilitate the formulation of strategy in the form of three year business plan.
Identify and analyse key trends to improve business competitiveness.
Facilitate discussions on key strategic interventions through business meetings.
Provide planning guidelines and facilitate planning reviews and making strategic choices in line with business imperatives.
Review cluster aspirations; targets and milestones through analytics and reporting.
Coordinate strategic initiatives and collaboration through joint planning and review sessions.
Assist in cross-cluster decision making through collaborative resolution and problem solving.
Assist in the identification of strategic opportunities for Group through market analytics and research Support the achievement of the business strategy; objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems; process; services and solutions are aligned.
The role will require strong analytical skills, problem solving and advanced modelling skills.
The candidate will also require advanced excel and PowerPoint  skills– Think cell an advantage.

 

Essential Qualification

Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
