Description

Summary:

Huntington Bank is seeking an entry-level Snowflake Administrator to support the Enterprise Data Warehouse Platform Administration team.  In this role, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in managing and maintaining our Snowflake cloud data warehouse. You will be helping ensure optimal performance and partnering with our internal teams to grow our solution across the enterprise.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake cloud data warehouse solutions that meet internal project requirements.Monitor Snowflake performance and tune for optimal storage & processing utilizationProvides technical and consultative support to partnering teamsAdminister and maintain Snowflake users and role permissionsDevelop solutions to remediate Security and Regulatory requirementsIdentify automation opportunities for internal processes and proceduresProvide operational support for system access and availabilityAuthor and maintain internal documentationStay up-to-date on the latest Snowflake features and best practices

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in database administrationBachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Snowflake cloud data platform, including the creation of create tables, views and tasks. new databases, new schema and data sharingExperience troubleshooting authentication and access related issuesExperience with SQL Programing, PL/SQL, Python, and Stored ProceduresExperience implementing user and role privileges using RBAC modelStrong understanding of Snowflake architecture, administration, and performance optimizationUnderstanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologiesKnowledge of Snowflake security features including access control, authentication, authorization, encryption, masking, secured views etc.Knowledge of Data Warehouses, sizing, ETL architecture and best practicesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong data analytical skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize themExperience working in a consumer-centric company, partnering with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environmentStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsExperience with federated authentication SSO, SAML, oAuth, MFAExperience with ETL/transformational data toolsExperience with ServiceNowSnowPro Core certificationExperience in Financial Services or another regulated industryBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
