Overview We are looking for a purpose-driven Assistant General Manager to join our expanding team and become an ultimate ambassador of our brand. In this role, you will create a highly productive environment that builds a motivated team, ensures an extraordinary guest experience, and balances other corporate priorities, focusing on strategic, operational, and leadership excellence. As the role evolves over time, the successful candidate will show curiosity in the business, demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges, and lift our team by developing additional skills to assist and support our purpose. Responsibilities Enthusiastically hire, develop, and lead the team at your store to provide a great guest experience and fulfill our mission to inspire people to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Use operational tools such as Profit and Loss Statement, Daily Business Review, Cash & Deposit Log, and Data Central scheduling and inventory management tools to achieve operational excellence. Maintain relationships with suppliers (inventory management, shipments, etc.) Review store environment and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and adjust accordingly. Manage cash activities for the store (daily deposits, etc.). Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines in your store at all times; ensure all Team Members are in compliance as well. Own and promote brand standards in alignment with company vision. Ensure store appearance and cleanliness are upheld and consistent with Smoothie King brand standards. Drive implementation of company programs through action planning and inspiring team to meet operational standards. Develop local store marketing plans to support brand initiatives, including initiating community outreach through marketing and special events. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing tools and programs as well as finding new, creative and effective methods of recognition. Collaborate with Smoothie King professionals from Operations, Training, Human Resources, and Marketing to deliver the best smoothies and healthy retail products to your community. Qualifications A high school diploma is required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, or a similar field is preferred. Minimum 2 years experience as a manager or supervisor of a team in a restaurant or similar retail customer service business. Exceptional interpersonal skills - you are energized by working with people, both guests and your team. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and the community, both orally and in writing. Knowledgeable of general POS functionality. Experience with OSHA, EEOC, and other federal and state laws and local statutes. ServSafe Certification.
