Roles & Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Australia Business Package pricing team, you will perform the quarterly portfolio reviews independently. The main responsibilities are as follows:
Collaborate closely with the Australia Business Package Pricing team on critical pricing initiatives, including comprehensive portfolio reviews and actuarial pricing exercises.
Independently perform the portfolio reviews for the Business Package product to analyze product performance, focusing on profitability, loss ratios, and emerging trends.
Present portfolio review to pricing actuaries, underwriters, and stakeholders, facilitating informed business and strategic decisions.
Design, develop, and maintain pricing models that incorporate risk factors, market trends, and claims experience.
Leverage actuarial methodologies and data analytics to conduct thorough analyses of experience, identifying areas for improvement and opportunity.
Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the portfolio review process, implementing efficiency improvements that contribute to overall business performance.
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
7 to 10 years relevant actuarial work experience in Property & Casualty insurance, with experience in pricing or portfolio reviews
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SQL) and actuarial tools.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
