The role
As a Plumber, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will undertake Plumbing activity on systems and equipment, across the whole of HMNB Clyde
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure Completion of plumbing work to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business
Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity in accordance with set objectives and timescales. Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes within BM&T Clyde policies. Responsible for carrying out Legionella monitoring regimes and controls i.a.w Building Legionella Risk Assessments and the Written Scheme as directed and reporting findings and defects accordingly. Responsible for disinfection of water systems as directed and reporting findings and defects accordingly.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at RNAD Coulport Monday – Friday with a half day on Friday.
Essential experience of the Plumber
Experience in plumbing systems and activities Knowledge of Legionella is desirable Valid UK Driving Licence Knowledge of COSHH & Safe systems of work
Qualifications for the Plumber
NVQ Level 3/Equivalent qualification in Plumbing or time served apprenticeship.
