**Description**
Austin Industrial, Inc. - We are currently seeking an experienced Small Tool Mechanic to be based in Baytown, Texas.
This position requires a Valid Driver's License.
This is a maintenance position starting at 7:30am- working 5/8's plus occasional - OT - Pay rate: $20.00/hr. + DOE. No Per Diem.
**Small Tool Mechanic**
This person will assist Mechanic in the constructions. Will be performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on tools in a safe, efficient, quality minded and customer focused manner.
**Specific Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Communicate with vendors about price quotes, scheduling, and ETAs for current and pending orders
+ Complete work order for each tool evaluated
+ Evaluate tools in need of preventative maintenance, and/or actual repair.
+ Help warehouse wherever/whenever needed
+ Load tools being picked up
+ Manage and maintain the extensive inventory of replacement parts for well over a hundred different types of tools, machinery, and equipment, many of which have close to, if not more than, a hundred individual parts and pieces themselves
+ Minor repairs on trucks/trailers
+ Operate Machinery-Forklift, Backhoe, Manlift, Scissor lift
+ Repair and perform maintenance on anything used in the warehouse that might need attention
+ Support offices with general handyman needs
+ Use CMIC and completed work orders to transfer tools etc. to new locations
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications Required for this Position:**
**Education** – no minimum education requirements.
**Experience** – 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
