Date: Sep 18, 2024 Location: San Juan, PR Company: Popular Workplace Type: On-site Small Business Specialist | San Juan Region Job Type Full Time Exempt General Description Responsible for providing expertise and assistance in both, the small business and consumer segment and will also identify referral opportunities for other partners and lines of business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Actively contact existing and prospective clients to develop and maintain profitable client relationships while attracting new money, commercial services, among other products through sales calls, community involvement, referrals, and entertainment. • Manage commercial credit applications, review, and negotiate pricing and submit to Commercial Credit Center for approval. Communicate credit decisions to clients. • Oversee reports to detect high risk accounts, internal audits regarding compliance issues, and maintain adequate commercial portfolio management, including renewals, delinquency, among others. • Engage other partners and/or lines of business when an opportunity is identified to foster cross selling. • Identify current and long term banking needs for both segments (business and consumer) to offer appropriate advice, services, and product solutions. Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Experience At least five (5) years of consumer and small business banking experience or experience in similar role. Other Qualifications • Communication Skills- Written and verbal communication skills in English (intermediate/advanced level) and Spanish (advanced level) o Writes clearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively. o Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills. • Analytical Skills- Stays focused on main issues, prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with timely completion of assignments.
