1. Job Overview
Assist the slitting machine operation in preparing material for shipment. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
2. Job Dimensions
Must be able to read and understand a job ticket for pertinent informationFollows food safety guidelinesCut cores to correct length per specificationPrepare winder shafts with cores in necessarySplice rolls togetherPosition roll of material to be slit at the unwind (rear of machine)Carry finished rolls to bench, remove shaft, rebuild shaft and place on slitterMove rolls with defects to slitting areaStack rolls properly and neatlyWrap rolls, weigh if necessary and place roll on pallet with corrugated cardboard for cushion3. Principal Accountabilities
Do not touch the sealant side of the web unless necessary to minimize contamination of food contact surfaces.Assists slitter operator in the performance of other routine duties4. Major challenges & complexities
