Responsibilities: EDUCATION + Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy + Must possess valid New York State Respiratory Therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. + If Non-Registered, Sleep Technologist by the ABSM, BRPT, or NBRC + Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules within two years of hire. + Be NYSED Authorized Polysomnographic Technologist + BLS/CPR certification required within three months of hire. -OR- + Be registered in Sleep Technology or accepted to sit for the registry examination through one of the following organizations: + American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) + Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) + National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) + Registered Respiratory Therapist - Sleep Disorder Specialist (RRT-SDS) + Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) + Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) EXPERIENCE + Three (3) years of previous sleep clinical experience with RPSGT preferred, however new graduates with a Respiratory Therapist license will be considered. + Orientation and training to the essential functions of the position is expected to be completed during the introduction period.
