Skilled Laborer Bargersville, IN (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=691+Industrial+Blvd+Bargersville+IN+USA+46106) Description CMS Mechanical is looking for a Skilled Laborer CMS Mechanical self-performs work in both the commercial and industrial sectors, including scopes of work related to the provision, installation, and service of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, process piping/systems, and energy systems. The latter includes electrical generation and co-generation systems, and all related peripheral elements required to deliver fully functional systems to our customers. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) + Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Assures the safe and proper use of tools and equipment + Cutting of steal using flame torch + Beveling, grinding, preparing materials for welding + Load, unload and identify materials, machinery, tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations according to project plans or direction from Superintendent + Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment and tools + Measure pipe and cut to correct size + Apply caulking, cleaning solutions, or other compounds by hand or using hand tools + Prepare forms for pouring concrete and dismantle forms after use using a variety of hand tools + Grind, scrape, sand or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines + Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, rakes or other hand tools + Other duties as assigned Education and Experience + High School diploma and minimum 2-3 years of previous mechanical construction to include HVAC ductwork, electrical controls and threaded pipe installation Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Strong communication skills with ability to coordinate work with other team members + Strong organizational skills to effectively manage time and resources in the most efficient manner + Ability to read blueprints and drawings + Ability to work independently + Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, power tools and other equipment + Must be able to read and use a tape measure accurately Supervisory Responsibilities + Works under the direction of a Superintendent or Skilled Tradesman Working Conditions + Heavy physical effort required for frequent lifting or moving of heavy materials + Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and walk a project site + Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach + Ability to work in confined space + Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions on jobsites + Must be able to travel for weeks of time to support projects CMS Offers competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefit package including Health, Vision and Dental Insurance, AFLAC, 401K with a company match, Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, Paid Holidays We are an equal opportunity employer.
