Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** GENERAL PURPOS The Program Coordinator has primary responsibility for designing and carrying out a rich program of cultural offerings, including an annual Polish Film Festival and a series of concerts, lectures and exhibitions. Responsibilities include representing the University to foreign and US partners, development, grant writing, and administration. Requires ability to work independently and exercise cultural, historical and political sensitivity. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Polish Film Festival: Takes primary responsibility for planning and organizing the annual Polish Film Festival. Travels annually to Poland to select films presented at the Gdynia Film Festival and to recruit visitors for our film festival (directors, actors, etc.) + Skalny Lecture and Artist Series: Works independently to organize Center events, including recruiting guests and performers. Builds and maintains a cultural program that includes an annual series of concerts, lectures and other exhibitions. + University representative: Maintains cordial relationships with our partners at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, including visiting professors, with the Polish Consulate in New York, with Rochester organizations including the Little Theater and the Dryden Theater, and with the Polish Filmmakers' Association and the Polish Film Institute. + Development: Correspondence with donors and maintaining a donor database; maintaining the Skalny Center web site; producing the annual Skalny Center Newsletter; external financial reporting on grants. + Grant writing: Independently writes and applies for annual grants from the Polish Filmmakers’ Association (in Polish), the Polish Film Institute (in Polish), the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, the Polish Heritage Society of Rochester, etc. + Administration: Organization of events, administration of grants and program expenses, internal financial reporting, assisting guests from Poland and Central Europe. Other duties as assigned. **MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** + Associate's degree and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support required + Or equivalent combination of education and experience **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** + Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, FileMaker Pro, virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Box), Adobe, etc. required + Office procedures, database entry principles, customer service and public relations principles, principles of math, mailing and distribution methods, training principles, leadership principles, intermediate to advanced budget administration principles, inventory and supply maintenance principles, event planning required + Ability to effectively communicate and interact, both verbally and in writing, with people across diverse backgrounds and cultures required + Fluency in Polish preferred. Sensitivity to cultural and historical nuance; diplomatic skills; knowledge of musicology; connections to the artistic community; musical taste preferred. + Intermediate knowledge of hardware and software functionality preferred.
