The Site Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Construction Project Manager to assure that the projects are completed and maintain the standard of excellence established by the company and customer. Certain tasks will be assigned by the Assistant Construction Project Manager to take the lead on with little oversight. Along with working with the Construction Project Manager, this role will be given opportunity to execute selected projects including managing financials, administration, implementation, and customer satisfaction. The Project Superintendent will ensure that quality standards are maintained across all tasks and projects.
What you will do:
Responsible for planning, analyzing and timely completion of assigned activities
Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, subcontractors, and field support staff.
Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes.
Support the Project Manager in establishing an operations budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated project scope.
Support Project Manager in validating and establishing project installation budgets.
Oversees the following: preparation of Trane material and vendor orders; recording the receipt of materials
Support the Project manager in preparing the sub-contractor request for quotation’s (RFQ) including: scope statements; plans and milestone dates; specs; bonding requirements; and billing schedule of values.
Supervises work of project assigned staff, subcontractors and installers.
Generates technician work orders and prioritize tasks.
Support Project Manager in change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders.
Ensures that safety and quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers or their representative.
Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.
Supports the transition of warranty to the service process.
Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
Some travel with occasional overnight stays.
What you will bring:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in engineering or construction management and 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and engineering drawing tools. Some computer programming experience is required.Familiarity with the concepts of new construction, renovation/retrofit; performance contracting, and service project management. Must possess the communication skills and level of literacy, scientific knowledge and mathematical skills commensurate with the completion of High School and/or higher-level education. Must have a general knowledge of basic engineering, electricity, mechanical HVAC systems and the building construction industry.Prefer experience and knowledge in using Project Management Tools (CPM, PERT, Gantt Charts); knowledge of Microsoft Office, Primavera Expedition, Microsoft Project Manager or P3/Suretrak and familiarity with financially guaranteed contracts, the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems, temperature controls, and process control systems.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 60,000 - $100,000 / annually. Total compensation for this role includes overtime opportunity as well. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
