In this role, as a Site Sourcing & Procurement Manager, , you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Develops notions on midterm developments for own department and elaborates suggestions for strategic plan of the larger unit (be it function or business unit).

As a Site Sourcing & Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing supplier relationships and oversees all procurement activities for Drilling Services Houston Technology Center

Negotiating costs of raw materials with focus on securing best price to meet cost reduction goals

Monitor S&OP process and prepares demand signals for suppliers accordingly

With minimal oversight, supervises procurement staff to develop and implement best practices ensuring operational excellence

Independently prepares presentations

Lead negotiations with suppliers

Develop and Implements improvements to procurement policies and procedures

Monitor Baker Hughes and supplier compliance and performance against established contracts and processes

Ensure Sourcing projects that will ensure savings and BCC penetration is followed up and measured

Ensure PO’s are placed to qualified sources in BCC

Manage Evolution and AMO purchase requirements with GBS collaboration

Collaborate with other supply chain functions to ensure smooth running of operations

Drives daily use of continuous improvement tools to improve HS&E, quality, delivery, financial performance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction

Handles special projects as assigned, which will be broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity

Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes health, safety and environmental policies, legal compliance requirements and core values

To be successful in this role you will have:

Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Supply Chain or a Business-related degree) or 3 plus years’ experience in supply chain or procurement 3+ years of procurement, sourcing, or similar experience within supply chain1 plus years experience in project management, negotiation, facilitation, and customer service skill1 plus years experience in purchasing practices, principles, and proceduresExperience with facilitates cost reduction initiatives across the procurement organization and root cause corrective action plans to improve qualityDetailed knowledge of sourced goods and services, suppliers, and market trendsExcellent ability to communicate with internal & external customers and suppliers
