About Role:
This role involves conducting complex research, design, and platform development/support within a specific functional area or product line. It contributes directly to project plans, schedules, and methodologies for implementing cross-functional software assets and infrastructure. Responsibilities include cloud platform design across multiple systems, SRE activities, mentoring less-experienced team members, and collaborating with users, customers, and stakeholders to translate their requirements into effective solutions. Additionally, it focuses on fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications:
Good experience in Cloud Engineering with a strong focus on Azure and/or AWS.3+ years supporting and deploying Kubernetes in an enterprise environment.Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect certification or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.Requirements:
Strong knowledge of cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Functions).Understanding of storage systems, Linux kernel, UNIX kernel, UNIX file system, and Windows infrastructure.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) technologies (e.g., Terraform, ARM/BICEP).Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).Proficiency in automation scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, TypeScript, PowerShell).Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.Program installation and troubleshooting.Knowledge of Hyper-V management.Familiarity with SRE activities and best practices.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., DataDog, Coralogix, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Experience collaborating across multiple topics in parallel.Responsibilities:
Demonstrate high level understanding of Kubernetes deployment and management including orchestration, architecture, networking, deployment (CI/CD pipelines), storage management and security.Collaborating with technical personnel and team members to finalize solutions.Writing and reviewing documentation for the management, improvement, and support of platforms/assets.Working closely with development and platform teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality solutions.Completing complex problem solving and bug fixes, root-cause investigations and system performance diagnosis using dumps, tracing, observability (APM) and other diagnosis tooling.Working closely with development, platform teams and vendors to coordinate special operations and communicate / escalate issues as appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.Install program products and system components or aid in installation by end users including the development of user mods for installation of customized existing routines, device drives, and other system modifications.Demonstrate thorough understanding of all system components and operating systems of program products assigned to support.Demonstrate knowledge of system parameters to control, configure, and install various systems; in-depth knowledge of software installation aids; and user knowledge of all facets of the program products assigned to support.Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.Work closely with support groups to refine system monitoring and reporting, and to assist them in their analysis and problem recovery.Implementing infrastructure management and deployment best practices, including code/solution reviews and optimizing hardware / storage / service installations.Automating TOIL through scripting / JCL (job control language) wherever possible.Documenting TOIL-reducing processes and procedures.Operating in various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver proper management and implementation of team changes and service requests.Self-manage workload to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of solutions.Resolving complex technical issues with high-quality solutions.Mentoring less-established colleagues, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.Maintain a learning/growth mindset to stay updated on new technology developments.Proactively propose solutions to improve and grow the organization.All other duties as assigned.Why Join Us?
