Job Description Day to Day: Insight Global is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join one of our largest financial clients in Chandler, AZ. They will be joining the Markets Application Production Services (MAPS) team within the Risk Data Analytics Organization. They will be supporting product reference data platforms that cover risk applications for all Post Trade operations including risk assessments, financial regulatory reporting, and marginal or collateral adjustments made. 50% of their day will be focused on production support and 50% of their day will focus on automation. On a day-to-day basis, they will be responsible for the monitoring and alerting of applications, performing application and server health checks, user querying, triage, hands-on trouble-shooting and resolving of any incidents and performance issues per criticality and driving process automation. They have around billions of risk calculations coming in their suite of applications each day so this individual will be tasked with managing batches across all systems that assess risk. The goal is to build automation around the Python applications using Python Scripts for more efficiency and speed in this key area. This individual will work in close collaboration with the Application Developers, peer Support teams, Global/offshore teams, and Infrastructure Support. Skills and Requirements Must Haves: - 5+ Years of hands-on experience in Application Support in a global, team-oriented environment. - Strong experience with scripting languages Python, Perl, Shell (Intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, etc.) - Strong SQL Knowledge and experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL server database knowledge - Experience supporting Python based applications/platforms - Experience with monitoring tools and instrumentation Splunk and Dynatrace - Experienced with CI/CD tools Jenkins, Bit Bucket, GitHub, Ansible for automation Plusses: - Experience with one or more: Risk, Data Analytics, trade capture, trade life cycle, and regulatory reporting - Previous Bank of America experience - UI software like Angular or React would be plus.
