Site Maintenance Officer

Lache Primary School is looking for someone with initiative who is hardworking, flexible, skilled and highly motivated to take responsibility for providing the highest possible standards of cleanliness and maintenance of our learning environment. Lache Primary is set to join the Concordia Trust imminently.

Some of the main duties include;

Monitor, operate and maintain appropriate site security systems, including closing the building at the end of the school day, lettings outside school hours and responding to call outs as necessary to provide satisfactory security arrangements. Efficient maintenance of the building and site, including liaising with contractors. Can carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating capably and follow a planned maintenance programme. Maintain and monitor Health and Safety standards, reporting any failures to comply with the school’s statutory obligations in this area and ensure that contractor’s work meets Health and safety Regulations. Knowledge of COSHH and Safe Work Practices. Have a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety. Certain administrative duties are required to ensure that statutory documentation is kept up to date. Monitor site stock and order supplies. Cleaning duties when required. Good IT skills Maintain compliance systems and records

 

 

The role will be made up of 25 hours (1pm to 6pm Monday to Friday) as site manager at Lache Primary and an additional 7 hours (Mon-Fri, times to be agreed with Trust COO) to fulfil the below  (32hours in total):

 

The role will include providing support to the Trust Chief Operating Officer to oversee facilities management across the Trust.  This will include:

Monitoring FM compliance of all Trust schools on the Trust compliance system and chasing omissions, escalating where necessary Support in planning and assessing half term works across Trust schools Coordinating booking of shared FM resources such as Developing, implementing and monitoring the Trust Estates Management Plan Support in the procurement of FM services/works Liaising with third parties such as outsource contractors, H&S partner and Surveyors Other activities as required by the Trust This may include occasional travel to other Trust sites which will be supported by the Trust Expenses Policy

The role will be Grade 5 which is £23,893.
