Site Foreman
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans. Produce schedules and monitor crew attendance. Allocate responsibilities and supervise workers and tradespeople. Ensure manpower and resources are adequate. Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met. Supervise machinery and equipment use. Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget. Resolve issues promptly and report progress to managers and engineers. Ensure all work is executed in line with QA guidelines and within time constraints. Maintain accurate documentation, including an A4 diary for daily events, completed work, faults, errors, and other issues. Report plan errors to the site agent, senior foremen, or contract manager. Ensure all tasks align with local regulations and standards. Criteria:
High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certification in construction or building management is preferred. Trade qualifications and experience in specific trades (e.g., finishes, wet trades) are advantageous. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Proven track record of successfully managing construction sites and teams. Familiarity with local construction standards, codes, and regulations. Strong leadership and management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications. Ability to coordinate and oversee multiple tasks and teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Competence in using construction management software and tools. Good understanding of trades specific to the position. Strong work ethic and dedication to meeting deadlines. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to maintain a safe and clean site. Flexibility and readiness to work at any time as required Knowledge of materials management and waste control.
