Job Summary

The Facilities and Maintenance Leader is accountable to build the capability of their site to ensure assets never impact the schedule.  This will be achieved by deploying the One Aerospace strategy, including standardization, training, coaching and implementing best practices. 
 

Job Responsibilities

•    Exemplifying a safety-first mindset and ensuring compliance to the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards. 
•    Manage a multi-disciplined team to plan and perform asset maintenance to deliver incremental improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
•    In collaboration with Continuous Improvement Function partners, accountable for deploying the Global Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Program.
•    Implementation of the short and long term Facilities & Maintenance people strategy including competence program, talent and skills acquisition, retention and development.
•    Achieve the expected maturity for the function, plan and deliver the transformation to achieve required levels of maturity.  
•    Accountable for implementing the standards (one GKNA process) and KPIs for the Facilities & Maintenance function.  Implement a layered process audit system to provide governance for the Facilities and Maintenance standards.
•    Responsible for supporting the definition of the strategy for core/non-core Facilities & Maintenance capability and implementing the resultant Make v Buy execution.
•    In collaboration with Regional Head of ME and Global Head of Advanced ME contribute to the definition of machinery & equipment standards.
•    Deliver Facilities & Maintenance savings in line with year on year cost targets.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Master’s Degree preferred.
•    10+ years of experience in the Manufacturing Operations/Facilities/Maintenance, including managing Critical Spare Parts Inventory 
•    Working knowledge on installing and servicing production equipment including: CNC/CMM/Vertical Lathes/Ovens/Clean Lines/Plant Boilers
•    Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.
 
Preferred Qualifications:  
•    GKN experience 
•    Hands-On leadership within a manufacturing environment overseeing both direct and indirect reports 
•    Lean or Six Sigma certification by a reputable certifying body or benchmark company
•    Strong shop floor presences and partnership
•    Extensive knowledge on aerospace manufacturing procedures and processes
•    Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, train and develop direct reports within the shop floor
•    Experience of working on complex technical projects and programs in global structure
•    Advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills 
•    Proven structured Problem Solving experience
•    Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
•    Detailed knowledge of Maintenance Systems (CMMS)

Compensation Range

The Compensation range for this position is between $130,000 - $148,000.
