Site Discipline Lead

In this role, you will be a member our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team. The PM team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it'. We are unique in that we provide in-house cost management and project scheduling along with program and project management, in a fully integrated package. We are currently looking for various Site Discipline Leads to work on-site for a large semiconductor project in the West Lafayette, IN area. The Site Discipline Leads we are currently looking for range from; mechanical, electrical, I&C, wastewater, chemical, and gas. These are key roles that will work closely with the owner to provide guidance on all phases of the project delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Drive the proper execution of design and construction of the authorized discipline / system scope.Develop scope documents.Drive Value Engineering (VE) efforts.Ensure contract documents are accurate and complete.Overview award of work to suppliers and sub-contractorsCommunicate Scope, Quality or Design issues to the various stakeholders.Communicate and coordinate with other discipline teams on issues with potential impact to their scope or requiring their input for decision.Validate Work in Place prior to approving invoices or approving payments.Creates, delivers, and provides progress against schedule updates.Transition completed scope to the Owner.Validates the design develops to meet the intent of the scope documents and owners’ program.Reviews submittalsDevelops equipment lists.Maintains the design schedule.Validate the Project Design criteria (Scope Document, Programming Document and Design Criteria Spec)Drive the development of a design, which is complete, correct, and coordinated, with that of other discipline teams.Confirms design packaging, and schedule with construction schedule.Develops pre-purchased equipment and specifications list.Control its scope through the Change Control process.Perform Value Engineering, attempting to obtain the greatest value for money either through cost reduction, or through ensuring the greatest benefit from labor or selected materials, processes, or equipment.Drives the Close Out process for its area.Establish and meet quality objectives!Participates in Schedule Integration process.Ensure project is executed safely.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Manage and monitor team members' activity in alignment with organizational goals. Delegate providing clear instructions and ongoing feedback. Monitor metrics and course correct as necessary while holding self and others accountable. Provide feedback to senior leaders and clearly communicate organizational direction to team members. Build relationships with key internal resources (peers, direct reports, & senior leaders). Create development opportunities and plan for direct reports and teams; provide ongoing feedback. Exercise creativity and resourcefulness in independently managing the project effectively in a compressed timeframe. Ability to distinguish between cause and effect of problems. Actively listen and communicate effectively, clearly, unambiguously, and completely in both written and oral formats. 

Preferred Education and Experience:

Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related fieldExperience: 8+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction managementPreferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED
