Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Site/Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, erosion sediment control, and associated civil engineering activitiesDevelop design plans, profiles and detailsPrepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention PlansPerform quantity takeoffsPrepare basis of design narrativesPerform water quality and quantity calculationsPrepare specifications and contract documentsPerform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as neededFunction as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this positionSupervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as neededPerform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering degree.PEDemonstrated leadership and communication skillsAptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, SiteworksExperience with stormwater design modeling programs such as HydroCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Storm Sanitary Analysis, Hecras, etcProficient with Microsoft OfficeGood verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Primary position location: Woodcliff Lakes, NJ. Alternate location: White Plains. NY . New York City location may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who reside locally are preferred. Note that our Mahwah office has recently relocated to Woodcliff Lake, NJ. This is the preferred location for this position.

Typical starting pay range for this position is $73,000.00 -$122,000.00annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
