Job Purpose
In this role, Simulation Engineer will be responsible for modelling and analyzing Electric Driveline systems using combination transmission tools like MASTA / ROMAX and FEA. This role will take the lead in building the system model and provide design recommendations based on analysis results to further optimize the design to meet customer and program requirements.
Key responsibilitiesDevelop MASTA transmission system driveline models to support current production programs and NBOs.
Perform system-level design analysis to estimate bearing damage, gear safety factors, and overall system stiffness, and provide design change recommendations.
Perform system dynamic analysis to estimate vibration levels and provide design feedback to mitigate any potential NVH issues.
Perform subsystem/system-level structural/dynamic FEA.
Perform Transmission Error analysis.
Conduct structural optimization using various methodologies.
Write reports summarizing the analysis results and review all project-related analysis results to ensure the accuracy of project reports.
What We Are Looking ForMS in Mechanical Engineering from reputed institutions.
Minimum of 7 years of experience working with automotive driveline components.
Expertise in designing driveline components like bearings, gears, and shafts.
Good technical knowledge of vibration damping methods and NVH.
Expertise in analysis tools like MASTA/ROMAX and ANSYS.
Expertise in mechanical finite element analysis (FEA).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Preferred RequirementsPhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
10 years of related engineering work experience.
Working experience in multi-physics simulation.
Experience in EV Driveline and/or ICE Driveline systems.
