This position will work in Caterpillar Research and Development Center (CRDC) Virtual Product Development department on structure and fluid thermal simulation Analysis

The key role of this position is to use analysis and simulation process to validate the design concept as well as improve the designs in terms of reliability, durability and performance of the Caterpillar machine products and major structural systems.

The major responsibilities will be included but not limited to the items as below:

• 1. Responsible for thermal simulation analysis of energy storage battery systems, establishing 1D and 3D thermal simulation models for the battery system.
负责储能电池系统热仿真分析,建立电池系统1D和3D热仿真模型.
• 2. Responsible for thermal management simulation analysis of energy storage battery systems under different operating conditions and writing simulation reports.
负责储能电池系统在不同工况下的热管理仿真分析,输出仿真报告.
• 3. Responsible for CFD simulation analysis of energy storage battery cooling systems, providing optimization suggestions for the design of components in the battery thermal management system.
负责储能电池冷却系统CFD仿真分析,为电池热管理系统零部件设计提供优化建议.
• 4. Responsible for simulating structural strength, vibration fatigue, shock and drop of battery packs.
负责电池包结构强度、 振动疲劳、冲击、跌落的仿真
• 5. Work closely with the design engineers, Test engineers, manufacturing engineers and Global Corporate SME to complete the assignments.

研究背景:
工程力学,流体力学,机械工程,汽车工程,土木工程,内燃机,航空,航天,制造技术,或相同专业硕士及以上(如本科需要至少5+仿真领域工作年限);研究方向或学校与工作实际项目经历(以下皆可):
流体及热仿真的温度场模拟;金属、塑料、橡胶等复合材料相关实验和模拟; 结构疲劳、损伤或断裂相关试验和模拟;; 工艺过程模拟;
Competency Requirement:
技能要求:
• Must have specific knowledge of fluid and thermal simulation theory, as well as experience in solving such problems.
须具备流体和热仿真理论知识,并有解决此类问题的经验。
• Must have FEA or other numerical Simulation knowledge and must have the experience of implementing these knowledges on solving real problems.
须具备有限元或其他数值仿真理论与知识,并且有应用此技术解决实际问题的经验
• Proficient in using Ansys Fluent and CFD-POST; experience in battery pack thermal management simulation and thermal runaway simulation is preferred.
能够熟练使用流体分析软件Fluent和后处理软件CFD-POST,有电池包热管理仿真和热失控仿真经验者优先考虑。
• Capable of CAE tool. Analysis software experience in ABAQUS and other Nonlinear Solver, w/ explicit analysis is preferred, however, experience in other equivalent engineering analysis software is acceptable
有Abaqus或其他非线性求解器,或显示动力学经验者优先考虑,同时也接受具备其他类似分析软件能力的应聘者
• Have programing experience is a plus.

• Understand the heating principles of battery cells and be familiar with structural damage in battery packs is a plus.
