A week in the life of a Signature Systems Engineer:

Provide daily signal processing support, including operating and maintaining laboratory acoustic data processing systems. Assist acoustic analyst in acoustic analysis system set up, data archiving, calibration, and reporting functions. Update laboratory systems related installation, operations, and maintenance documentation.  Provide support for laboratory efforts. Develop enhancements to acoustic data acquisition, deformatters, beamformers, beamsteering, telemetry interfaces, array health assessments, sensor configurations, visualization tools, data and knowledge management tools, automation tools, report generation tools, and other signal processing methods. Support NSWCCD engineers in the development of new acoustic data processing equipment and associated Research and Development (R&D) efforts. Assist NSWCCD engineers in developing functional and performance requirements.
