Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to area of responsibility. **Requisition ID:** 38683BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Pay Grade Maximum:** salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills **Major/Essential Functions:** The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the School of Health Professions at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty in the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program to begin August 2024. The appointment's primary role is coordinating courses and supporting students through laboratory experiences. Coordination responsibilities will include developing and maintaining course content, grading assignments and instruction, and coordinating laboratory sessions in Lubbock, Texas. The adjunct faculty member may work collaboratively with faculty from the Master of Athletic Training (MAT), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD), Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTDP), Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences (ScD RS), and Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Science (PhD) within the department as well as with other departments within the School and University. The successful candidate will join one of the oldest entry-level masters in athletic training programs of its kind and will contribute to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service, with some variation by academic unit. Duties and Responsibilities of the successful candidate: Teach courses in the Master of Athletic Training Program and potentially in other programs in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences. This will include responsibilities in Lubbock, Texas, to provide face-to-face instruction and course coordination. Demonstrate a commitment to building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment Collaborate with program faculty and staff to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program curriculum and educational experience.
