The Short term planner will be accountable to develop production plans to meet customer and internal demand and align those plans to the strategic organizational goals and initiatives. This role also coordinates with production operations, purchasing and suppliers to planning and monitor the progress of work through the organization to ensure timely execution of the production schedule. 

We are looking for a profile strongly interested to take on the challenge to enable the execution of the increasing volumes and drive the production control of "flow" items inside the Flow Assembly & Testing Cell. 

This Opportunity is based in Florence Plant working with Planning team: the Flow Cell cell is dedicated to Assemble and Test Gas Turbines and Reciprocating Compressors. 

As a Short Term Planner for the Assembly/Test Flow Cell you will be responsible for: 

Planning, coordinating and expediting the flow of materials (from suppliers and within internal departments) required to execute the business plan according to production schedules and to target FTF OTD and Variance To Cycle cell goals. 

Support the operational leader in the shop on the daily priorities definitions and criticalities management 

Coordinating with other cells in order to optimize the operations, minimize resource conflicts, meet the required delivery, leverage on each other capacity in a cross cell mindset. 

Coordinating and expediting materials by setting priorities for internal customers, reporting the information when needed. 

Analyzing critical path and identify actions to shorten execution and delivery LT. 

Managing WIP to optimize aging and inventory KPIs 

Analyzing internal workload forecast vs capacity and plan the activities accordingly, highlighting and driving improvement actions 

Analyzing NCRs and expediting their closure with the aim to improve quality and OTD 

Leveraging on the existing tools/processes and contribute to develop new ones in order to enhance the function planning capabilities/efficiency. 

Acting as the “owner” of the assigned lines until the manufacturing is complete and/or the handover to the following cell is properly done. 

Fuel your passion 

To be successful in this role you shall have the following requirements: 

Have a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience 

Show direct experience in a manufacturing assembly context w/ relevant Bill of materials complexity 

Show direct experience in manufacturing assembly shift based daily operations 

Knowledge of mechanical systems components/principles, if specific on Gas Turbines it will be considered as a plus 

Display strategic thinking with tactical execution 

Have strong interpersonal skills 

Be able to work independently navigating through the organization 

Show strong problem solving skills and ability to anticipate issues before they occur. 

Be fluent written and oral Italian and English 

Display strong sense of task ownership
