As a Shipping Supervisor at Baker Hughes in Shannon, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the shipping operation. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe execution of packing processes, meeting quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your strong leadership skills and technical expertise will contribute to the success of the warehouse and shipping team.
 

As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Supervising and coordinating packing & shipping activities, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines, quality standards, and on time delivery schedules.

Monitoring warehouse processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Leading and motivating a team of shipping operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and employee development.

Working with production & planning teams to create working plans for each week considering the capacity of the team.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, production and quality assurance, to resolve shipping/packing issues and drive process improvements.

Maintaining accurate warehouse records, including shipping reports, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance logs.

Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the shipping team.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a degree in supply chain management/previous experience of working in shipping department/logistics.

Be a self-starter

Have attention to detail

Have the ability to manage & motivate a team of people

Have good interpersonal and conflict resolution skill, excellent verbal and written communication skills

Have a professional attitude

Demonstrate the ability to multi-task effectively and balance priorities in an ever changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment

Be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland, holding an Irish Passport/work permit with no requirement for future sponsorship.
