CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

Responsible for warehousing, inventory control, and shipping. Supervision of the hourly Shipping workforce to achieve maximum sustained safety excellence, environmental compliance, quality specifications are followed, and production targets are at or above budgeted levels. The position also backs up Logistics Manager.

 

 HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SMURFIT WESTROCK:

Manages hourly crewsCreates the crew’s weekly schedulesProcesses payroll weekly for CrewsEnsure personnel are aware of plant rules and adhering to them for safetyTrains operators for jobs in the Shipping DepartmentReviews warehouse inventory to maximize loading efficiencyMaintains warehouse inventory levelsWorks with corporate planners to correct any issues with orders and shipmentsHelps coordinate schedule changes due to batch inserts/recalls or shipment mode changesCommunicates with Supply Planning when issues arise with ordersWorks with crews to communicate any special requirements required or policy changesManages all warehouse dunnage inventory and orders anything that is needed for shipmentsWorks with Operations Maintenance Coordinator to ensure equipment is functionalInterface with CSXT railroad via computer and in personCommunicate with the Quality Manager for adherence to quality standardsPerform administrative tasks for Recycle Inbound Quality Process
