**Description** Job Title: Shipping Supervisor Location: JBS, Omaha Reporting to: Shipping General Foreman Essential Job Functions: + Manage the daily operation of the shipping department, ensuring the loading and shipping of trailers is done to company and customer expectations + Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs + Maintaining KPI goals + Ensure proper USDA compliance by performing daily safety walks correcting any non-compliance issues + Supervising hourly workforce, motivating and managing employees to ensure highest productivity + Work closely with the traffic department to ensure timely deliveries + Track employee hours through Kronos system, correcting any issues when necessary + Contributes to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures + Perform all other duties as assigned by General Foreman Experience Required: + High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred but not required + Minimum 2 years’ experienceworking in meat processing or manufacturing facility preferred but not required. + Experience leading a team preferred but not required Skills/Abilities Required: + Strong verbal and written communication and organization skills + Ability to effectively manage people + Problem solving and leadership abilities + Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Must be able to work in very cold, damp, loud environments with slick floors + Must be able to work flexible hours including some overtime and weekends + Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time JBS is an equal opportunity employer.
