Job Purpose:
Coordinates activities and supervises team members while ensuring the process and product quality expectations and customer needs are met.
Shift:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm
Friday as needed with production working overtime
Essential Job Functions:
Lead and supervises team members within the shipping department, including assigning tasks, providing direction, and offering hands-on support to ensure efficient daily operations.Ensures accuracy of ISO standards and work instructions, collaborating with the team to maintain compliance with established processes.Trains team members on effective cycle counting, quality inspection, inventory auditing, part identification, movement, and timely shipping within the system.Collaborates with Department Manager and Human Resources on hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, and provides coaching and corrective feedback to department employees.Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time product delivery and adherence to the daily shipping schedule.Oversees loading/packing of outbound containers/trucks to ensure Quality standards and procedures are met.Assists in packaging outbound shipments to department specifications as needed.Works alongside the Warehouse and Assembly Material Handling Supervisors, providing backup support when needed.Performs timely and accurate system transactions, relative to shipping and material handling activities, to ensure compliance to the published work instructions.Maintains inventory accuracy and ensures production lines stay on track.Troubleshoots reported shipping/material handling issues or discrepancies and implements process changes to continuous improvement.Monitors and enforces safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skills Needed:
Required
High School diploma or equivalentStrong knowledge with computer-based shipping/receiving systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meeting deadlines.Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong ability to work independently.Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within this field.Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.Minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.Previous experience in Oracle.Warehouse/Inventory control background.Working Conditions:
Will be working primarily on production floor where certain areas can be noisy. Must be able to wear steel toe shoes and stand and walk for long periods at a time.

The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $63,200 - $90,300 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Owatonna, MN and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
