Position Summary:


The Shipping Supervisor supervises activities of Shop employees. Supports manufacturing and safety objectives.

Responsibilities Responsibilities: Leads the daily work of the team, including scheduling staff, planning and assigning
work, implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient work flow Reviews work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to procedures and quality and
safety standards Provides technical guidance to team members and consults with other resources when
needed Communicates with the Manager regarding schedules and backlogsAssists the Manager with selection and performance management of employees and
recommending compensationRecommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, improvements in procedures
and working conditions, and process modificationsGives the team written and oral instructionsStandardizes procedures to improve efficiencyFollows departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous improvement
objectives, and safety rules Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and
procedures.Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement
to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience managing a shipping operationExcellent management skills for directing, coaching, scheduling, and assisting team membersTechnical orientation with ability to learn new technologiesComputer skills including MS OfficeStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and detail orientedAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesTeam-oriented and collaborative
