Job Description
The shipping/receiving coordinator reports to the production manager and is responsible all material movements and transactions. They facilitate and document order shipments and receipt of all items, raw materials and equipment. They work in a team environment with all departments to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assembles orders, checks against shipping or customer order, and reports shortages and incomplete orders.Selects appropriate shipping containers and packing material.Prepares and packs orders for shipment using hand and power tools.Ability to drive forklift (Sit down/ Stand up)Load and unload trucksReceive, unpack and place inventory into stock locations.Checks receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.Perform inventory transactions in the ERP system.Yearly physical inventory and periodic cycle countsPick Jobs for productionOrder materials for dock and productionHeavy liftingGeneral plant housekeepingAdditional duties as assignedPhysical Demands
Ability to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel oar crouch.Use arms, hands and fingers to handle, feel and reach.Adequate strength to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth perception and adjust focus.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
