Overview

Hire Resolve’s client in the Logistics Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Shipping Officer (Exports & Imports) to join their team in Gauteng.

Responsibilities

Oversee the entire shipping process for both imports and exports, including the coordination of necessary documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding Manage and develop relationships with shipping suppliers, ensuring timely availability of shipping containers and negotiating favorable rates Collaborate with internal teams to establish efficient shipping procedures and optimize logistics operations Monitor shipment schedules and track deliveries to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise Handle the preparation and processing of shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists Conduct regular audits of shipping processes and vendor performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savings Stay up-to-date with international shipping regulations and ensure compliance with all legal requirements and standards

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, preferably within the international movers industry Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, customs documentation, and freight forwarding processes Proficient in using shipping software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Proactive and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits
