**Job Title: Shipping Clerk** **Job Description** Shipping Packager ($18.50 per hour) Shift: 1st Shift (Currently starts at 4 AM with overtime available; Regular hours are 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with work on Saturdays) This position is responsible for properly weighing, labeling, and packaging manufactured products for shipment to customers. The Shipping Associate will also be responsible for shipping packages and documents using the SAP system. Responsibilities: - Process orders on customer portal - Maintain direct contact with customer service and customers - Inspect products (visual and dimensional) - Weigh and count finished goods - Bag products and seal packages - Label products and place them in returnable containers - Ship finished goods on a specified schedule - Perform SAP shipping transactions using barcode system and manual data entry - Adhere to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices - Implement health and safety policy and integrate health and safety considerations into daily work activities - Perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization **Hard Skills** + Basic packaging + Labeling + Warehouse experience + SAP system proficiency **Soft Skills** + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Positive attitude + Eagerness to get into manufacturing + Long-term commitment to the company **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Santa Ana, California. **Work Environment** The company specializes in rubber parts for the aerospace industry and operates many injection molding machines and hot presses. The facility follows lean six sigma principles and is extremely organized. While the machines can get hot, AC units ensure the facility remains at a comfortable temperature.
