If you’re ready for something bigger ― more challenge, more variety, more pathways for professional growth ― we should talk. We’re passionate about our work, we believe there is always a better way, and we’re looking for people like you.
Your Opportunity:
Taylor OnDemand (a Taylor company) is seeking a Shipping Business Strategist. In this role, you will play a key role in transforming our shipping strategies and outcomes by identifying inefficiencies, consolidating siloed processes, and implementing enterprise-wide strategies. With a strong focus on residential shipping, you’ll become an expert in navigating its complexities, ensuring our approach is dynamic, cost-effective, and scalable. You’ll analyze current shipping data, tools, and workflows to design scalable solutions that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels across our on-demand market.
Your Responsibilities:
Assess & Analyze: Map current shipping processes, tools, and data across multiple facilities and business units to identify opportunities for optimization
Develop Strategy: Create and implement shipping strategies at a local level, testing and refining solutions before scaling them for enterprise-wide adoption
Optimize Processes: Design and implement dynamic shipping solutions tailored to the demands of the on-demand market
Support Sales Strategy: Develop adaptable shipping strategies that can be positioned as a value-add in our partnerships and product offerings, helping to ‘sell’ shipping as a competitive advantage rather than just an operational function
Collaborate & Align: Work cross-functionally with business leaders, operations teams, and technology partners to drive shipping improvements
Leverage Technology: Identify and integrate shipping tools, data analytics, and automation solutions to enhance shipping performance
Drive Implementation: Lead the execution of new strategies and best practices, ensuring successful adoption across the organization
Monitor & Improve: Track key shipping metrics and continuously refine strategies based on performance insights
You Must Have:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex shipping data and translate insights into actionable strategies
A systems-thinker who can break down silos and create streamlined, scalable solutions
Knowledge of shipping carriers, rate structures, fulfillment models, and on-demand logistics
Familiarity with shipping technologies, automation, and data visualization tools is a plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills—comfortable working with stakeholders across multiple business units
A proactive, strategic mindset with a passion for solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment
We Would Also Prefer:
Bachelor's degree
2+ years in increasingly complex strategy roles
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or shipping strategy, ideally within a multi-facility or enterprise environment
A desire to learn and grow within the business and company to help us quickly scale in the next few years
